At Red Harbour Church we want to create a “Christ-centered” culture where Jesus is the centre of everything we are. We want to tell the story of Jesus. We know that this will result in people being transformed and our church becoming an active, partnering community that is able to release the life of Jesus into every aspect of life – family, our city, our nation and the nations of this world.

We look to the Bible to frame our model of local church and church leadership. This means that we see local churches as autonomous and governed by elders (see Acts 20:28, 1 Peter 1:2). Eldership is a function, not a position. Elders are men who meet the qualifications laid out in 1 Timothy 3:6 and Titus 1:5 – 9.

Elders are appointed to lead, love and serve God’s people. (See Acts 20:17 – 38; 1 Peter 5:1 – 4). We also appoint deacons to assist in our church’s life. (See Philippians 1:1; Acts 6; and 1 Timothy 3.)

In a larger context, we partner with a trans-local ministry team with an apostolic heart called New Covenant Ministries International (NCMI). This team comprises of individuals with gifts we see outlined in Ephesians 4:11. See more on NCMI here. http://www.ncmi.net
